Cat Tervo will talk about what illustration is, her process, and demo how she uses tools to create her final artwork. Then she will lead everyone through the first few steps of the process (ideation and sketching) and everyone will go home with a refined sketch to turn into a final illustration.
An art field trip to a cafe, art museum, or other downtown location where there are people to be drawn. Take a group walk to a local café or other downtown location to draw together. Cat Tervo will demonstrate drawing from observation in the wild using gesture drawing.
