217 Canal St
Nestled along the historic Canal Street in Little Chute, Wisconsin, the property at 217 Canal St stands as more than just a charming residence—it serves as the vibrant heart and operational hub of The Cedars Project.
This special site, located on the grounds of what is believed to be one of the oldest homes in Little Chute and overlooking the beautiful Fox River, has been thoughtfully revitalized from a long-underused space into a dynamic community gathering place.
Today, it buzzes with creativity, connection, and celebration, embodying the mission of The Cedars Project: to enhance communities through art, commerce, and meaningful relationships while honoring the area’s rich history.
The Home of The Cedars Project
The Cedars Project transforms overlooked spaces into inclusive creative hubs where people can build relationships, celebrate individuality, and collaborate across artists, entrepreneurs, and neighbors. At 217 Canal St, this vision comes to life through:
- Weekly Cedar Streams events — intimate live music, podcast-style gatherings, songwriter showcases, and community conversations streamed and shared with a wider audience.
- Workshops and hands-on experiences, such as traditional skills like dugout canoe building.
- Pop-up markets, local business collaborations, and creative programming that support both emerging artists and established community members.
The property’s intimate scale and scenic riverside setting create a warm, welcoming atmosphere perfect for fostering genuine connections in the Heart of the Valley.
The Cedars Festival
Each year, 217 Canal Street becomes the epicenter of The Cedars Festival—the flagship multi-day event that draws music lovers, artists, vendors, and community members together for a memorable celebration. Named in honor of the historic Treaty of the Cedars, the festival features live music on a beautiful stage set among the trees, local food and artisan vendors, and a spirit of togetherness that honors those who came before us while looking forward to a vibrant future.
Whether you’re attending a Wednesday night Cedar Streams session, joining a creative workshop, or immersing yourself in the full energy of The Cedars Festival, this property serves as the welcoming gateway to it all.
A Living Piece of Little Chute History
